Safety precautions
The user, through its own analysis and testing, is solely responsible for determining the suitability of Taimi products for their own usage. The user must also assure compatibility of the swivel’s seals with the fluid media used. Never modify or weld on a Taimi product. Taimi products should never be used as structural or load bearing components. Always design all systems and equipment in a fail-safe mode, so that failure will not endanger persons or property.
When assembling or doing maintenance on hydraulic systems and hose assemblies, it is of uttermost importance to be properly trained, use appropriate tools, components and equipment, follow specifications and think safety. Failure to follow safety precautions or improper product use cause death, personal injury and property damage. Always relieve pressure before dismantling hydraulic lines.
Pressure capabilities of Taimi products must be respected. Temperatures below and above the recommended limit can affect seals to a point where a failure may occur and pressurized fluid be released.
Seals will eventually deteriorate. Seals should be replaced at specific intervals, based on previous service life, or industry recommendations, or when failures could result in unacceptable downtime, damage, or injury risk. Only use Taimi original seals. It is important to torque Taimi cartridges according to the torque chart. If Taimi cartridges are overtorqued, a housing failure may happen over time causing serious injuries or death. An undertorqued swivel may dismantle causing serious injuries death. Visually inspect your Taimi products for evidence of leakage, wear, or damage. Replace damaged products immediately.
